Peptide Guide

How to Store Peptides Properly

Storage is one of the simplest ways to protect peptide quality. Heat, light, moisture, and repeated temperature swings can all work against stability.

Basic storage rules

  • Keep lyophilized peptides refrigerated when possible.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, warm rooms, cars, windowsills, and hot mailboxes.
  • Keep vials sealed until research preparation.
  • Minimize repeated warming and cooling cycles.
  • Store vials upright in a clean case or protected container.

Before reconstitution

Lyophilized peptides are generally more stable than reconstituted peptides, but they should still be treated as temperature-sensitive research materials.

After reconstitution

Once mixed, refrigeration becomes more important. Keep the vial cold, clean, sealed, and protected from light between research handling sessions.

What to avoid

Avoid heat exposure, shaking, dirty surfaces, loose caps, and repeated handling. Small mistakes compound quickly with delicate compounds.

Simple rule: cold, clean, dark, and stable.
